Wintergarden Park in Bowling Green, OH could use your help!

My Hometown Helper is a site put together by Hamburger Helper to help fund groups and organizations who are attempting to improve their community. One such project is done by the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation to request money to help pay off the purchase of land adjacent to the Wintergarden Park. 20 acres of land was to be used for the building of 60 homes, but this would have then caused issues for the park. Fortunately, an organization was able to raise money and purchase the land from the developers. Now the loan needs to get paid back.

The way things are going these days, I see no reason to build even more homes, especially if it means destroying green space in the process, and adding more green space to an existing park is a great idea. If you live in Bowling Green, or otherwise make use of Wintergarden Park, please consider visiting the project page and give your reason for why you feel this is deserving of funding.

My comment was simple:

Wintergarden is a great place to visit for animal watching and taking photographs; being able to watch the seasons progress is amazing. By having this green space, and expanding upon it, everyone can benefit.

My wife had the following to say:

Adding 20 acres to Wintergarden Park may attract new animals to the park and thus will not just increase the number of animals, but possibly the type of animals that would be able to live in Bowling Green or stop here during migration. By supporting biodiversity, the additional acres would also provide additional opportunities for wildlife education and enjoyment.
