Today’s featured video on Cracked is a parody of the ‘Delay’ commercial for the iPhone. Since I saw the actual commercial, I’ve thought basically the same thing.
It’s no surprise though. Commercials tend to be marketed towards those who may not fully understand a product in the first place. Just watch the commercials for things that you are knowledgeable about and you’ll probably notice over-simplification of concepts and facts, sometimes to the point where you’ll just get angry. At least that’s the way I end up feeling; most Apple commercials do that to me. I won’t argue that Apple has a good product, but the commercial that has the FBI-type agent next to “PC” (BTW, the Apple computer is a PC too) that is constantly asking for permission to do something might be funny at first, but it doesn’t happen that often with Vista. This causes the commercial to be less funny and more irritating.
