Joel, the artist over at dirtflake did a series called “Zoo of the Untrue” which he started in November of 2006 and finished up in April 2007. Zoo of the Untrue has an animal for every letter of the alphabet, but gives them a different, and in my opinion, better, description than you would find elsewhere. I found the end result to be a good collection of art and wit.
For Meghan’s birthday this past August I had purchased for her a mug from the artist’s deviantART store, which, for some reason, is no longer connected to his site. Anyway, the mug I got for her was for the letter S.
I still think that a book of all of these animals would be great, but the chances of that happening are unlikely.
