University students arrested while playing with airsoft guns.

Two BGSU students having an airsoft gun fight in their front yard were arrested yesterday for inducing panic. When one student was confronted by a police officer and asked if he had a gun, the student reached behind his back to pull out his airsoft gun. This prompted the officer to draw his firearm on the student.

Who isn’t surprised that this would happen in a college town? This is almost as amusing as the girls this past summer, elsewhere in Ohio, who made Super Mario Bros. ?-mark boxes and left them around town. The police were called because they could have been bombs. Or the kid last spring at OSU who had a sticker on his bike that said “This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb”, which was a band name.

Oh yeah, I have a website

It’s been a while since I posted something, mainly because of July and August. My contract was due to expire at the end of June, and wasn’t extended until about 2 days before it expired.

July was busy. Meghan’s sister’s fiance Andy moved in to their future apartment two doors down from us the weekend of July 4th, so Meghan, Ryan, and I helped him move is small amount of stuff in. I had a handful of different vacations, including a week long trip that started by visiting Meghan’s sister Jenny, which Andy accompanied us on, before heading to Lake Placid to visit Meghan’s extended family for a couple days. This was followed by a couple day stay at the in-law’s, and then a brief stop at my ‘rent’s for mom’s birthday. Less than a week after that, Jenny and Andy moved out here, which was then followed by our anniversary, so I took a day off of work so that we could have an extended weekend. The following Wednesday, I left work early to catch a flight with my friend Andy (not Jenny’s fiance) to visit our friend Chris out in Seattle, and that trip lasted until the end of July. I have pictures from the trip, including some of Mt. St. Helens, as I finally got my camera traded in to Canon for a refurbished new one.

After returning from the Seattle trip, my brother Ryan was preparing to leave Bowling Green to head back to the ‘rent’s for just over a week before heading out to San Francisco for graduate school. August of course began the final preparation for our staff training and campus move-in weekend at work. We are currently still training our staff.

I’ve been playing Travian and Advance Wars By Web, which are great online games. For the prior, I managed to get Chris playing it, so that’s fun. I’m currently playing on servers 6 and 7, but only server 7 is open for registration. Travian is kind of like Age of Empires, in so much that resources are gathered and then you build and improve buildings and attack and defend against other cities, but it takes time it some time to get going because of how long it takes to gather resources and build/upgrade. Anyway, I have an alliance started, called The Collective of IT, so if you play, let me know if you want to join.

I’ve been meaning to post what’s been happening for a while, but didn’t have time until now. Really, the only reason I posted this was because I wanted to put the following image up:

Oh yeah, our fantasy football league had our draft last Sunday, so that’s something else I get to spend time doing.
