Fear of Girls: an RPG humor video

There’s nothing like a good gaming-related video that makes fun of gamers. So for your viewing pleasure, I give you Fear of Girls.

I’m getting closer to considering having an Apple computer

Since some techies in March finally managed to get Windows XP to install upon the Intel-based Apple computers, I’ve toyed with the idea of getting an Apple. Now that Apple has made doing so official, I’ll definitely consider it more.

It’d be nice to have a computer that runs two of the more popular operating systems. Having the system run both would allow me to still play the games I have that are only for Windows XP/earlier versions, as well as have access to the programs available on Macintosh.

Chevy Tahoe… what were they thinking?

So, someone at Chevy decided it would be good to let people make their own Tahoe commercials.

Probably not a great idea. No, I’m sure it wasn’t.

This is the one I made. It’s based upon a skit by Patton Oswalt. And yes, this is a typo in the “commercial”, but short of me recreating it, you’ll have to deal with it.

I found this nugget of fun on Dvorak Uncensored, which also links to a site listing other people’s commercials.

This is as good as when you could make Bush/Cheney ‘04 signs. See the solganator memorial.

Battleground States keynote address

On Saturday, after playing Dungeons and Dragons Online for most of the afternoon, I went to see the keynote speaker for Battleground States, a graduate conference done by the American Culture Studies program, Dr. Ann Larabee from Michigan State University. I missed the initial part of her keynote address, so I can’t say for certain what the topic was supposed to be. When I came in, she was showing pictures of students from the day of the Kent State shootings on May 4th, 1970. I cannot say if she started with images from Kent State, or if she was only showing students on the Bowling Green State University campus.
